The re-engineering of our television business is creating the model for our future. Our news centre and Sunrise studio in the heart of Sydney, our new corporate centre at Jones Bay in Sydney and our state-of-the-art broadcast centre in Melbourne's Docklands precinct places us at the forefront of the creation and distribution of content in broadcast and subscription television, online, wireless and broadband.

Importantly, the new centre has changed the way we do business - moving from from analogue production and distribution to the seamless efficiencies of new technologies and allowing us to produce and distribute our content more efficiently and cost-effectively.

We are advancing our objective of securing a major presence in subscription television, driving our future in digital and interactive television and further enhancing our presence in magazines.

These innovations allow us to lead the development of television in Australia. Our success in a challenging media landscape will be underpinned by our ownership of rights to quality content, together with our creative resources, the brand-building power of our television network, our established relationships with consumers and advertisers, and our access to multiple delivery platforms.

The strength of our television network, the progress in defining our involvement in new communications technologies and the commissioning of our technological architecture for digital and interactive television provide us with the framework for our future development. We are well placed to play a key role in defining the future of media and communications in this country.
